The Miss World 2009 pageant will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, from November 11-December 12 with the participation of more than 100 candidates from around the world.

Véliz studies International Business at the European Business School London, in London, United Kingdom. She practices swimming, and other sports.

The Miss Ukraine Universe 2009 finals has just been concluded at the Freedom Concert Hall in Kiev. 25-year-old KRISTINA KOZ-GOTLIB  won the coveted crown. She stands 1.74 m. and will represent the Ukraine in Miss Universe 2009. Kristina was an ex-member of the girl band VIA Gra. 1st RU was 18-year-old Antonina Papernaya. She stands 1.78 m and was 1st RU in the Top Model Ukraine World 2007 finals.
